Indian Food Miniature Fridge Magnet, Dollhouse food, Miniature Sweets Platter, 1:12 Scale

This miniature platter consists of some of the popular sweets of West Bengal, India. The sweets have been served on a terracotta plate with a banana leaf and terracotta bowls like its usually served on special occasions or on festivals.

The following are the sweets which have been replicated in a miniature form:

On the plate (clockwise from the left) are:

Amritti (deep-fried flower shaped bright orange sweet soaked in sugar syrup)

Chanar Jilipi (fried dessert made of cottage cheese and dipped in sugar syrup)

Langcha (deep fried oval-shaped dessert made of cottage cheese and soaked in sugar syrup)

Malpua (fried pancakes flavored with fennel and cardamom and dunked in sugar syrup and served with pistachios)

Shaankh Sandesh (shell shaped fudge made of date palm jaggery and cottage cheese)

Talsansh Sandesh (date palm jaggery filled cottage cheese fudge)

Laddoos (sphere shaped sweets garnished with almonds, pistachios and saffron strands)

Patishapta (a light crêpe filled with coconut and jaggery mixture)

Aata Sandesh (custard apple shaped cottage cheese fudge)

Peda (milk fudge flavoured with cardamom)

In the terracotta bowls (clockwise from the left) are :

Pantua (a round fried sweet dipped in sugar syrup)

Rasmalai (flattened balls of cottage cheese soaked in malai or cream and flavoured with cardamom and saffron)

Boondi (small fried sphere shaped sweets made of chickpea flour)

This miniature dish has been hand sculpted from scratch using polymer clay. Various tools, chalk pastels were used on it for added effects and then sealed with glaze.
